Another Dark and Lonely Night

by on Jul.08, 1996, under Poetry

Another work from that same era as “The Legend of the White Knight.” As you’ll notice, alot of the feelings show in that one are still there in this poem. Well, read and hope you enjoy.

Another Dark, Lonely Night
by Michael Morris

As this world of our slowly turned round
And a defeated man’s head fell to the ground
The pain and suffering had run him through
Hindering his decision on what he should do

As all he had loved slowly turned to stone
And he turned and faced the unknown
All he was and all he would be
Rested on this decision, and what it would be

It was then, that an angel looked down below,
And saw this poor soul
And plucked him from the soil
To a place where he shall never have to toil

As he looked over and saw her
He knew it was love at first site
And was sure from that point forward
There would never be another dark, lonely night
